This is an original watercolour painting Gate Open, by Jessica Coote. This series developed over a year of volunteering in Preston Park walled garden. These watercolours are painted on the highest grade of watercolour paper made by Arches with the highest grade of watercolour paints. These paintings are on paper 410 x 310mm (16″ x 12″). All of the watercolour paintings on this website are original paintings, not prints. Therefore, if you choose to make a purchase today, you will be purchasing a painting, not a print. They make an excellent and unique gift for a special occasion such as a birthday, wedding anniversary, christening or even Christmas. However, they are also extremely easy to frame and look great when framed and displayed. Because this is a real watercolour painting, please treat it with care – do not leave it exposed to harsh daylight, or it will begin to fade. These are one-off paintings and are not part of a set. There may be multiple studies of a subject but each painting is done as a separate study of the subject and required many sketches and experiments before the final picture is produced.
