I’m delighted to let you all know that my solo exhibition at The Sunbury Embroidery Gallery is underway! The exhibition includes many medium and large hand embroidered textile landscapes from my project about the changing moods of The South Downs National Park. All of the work included in the exhibition is for sale. If you, or someone you know, might be interested in coming along and seeing my work, please do. The exhibition runs from the 19th of November until the 15th of December. If you have any questions regarding the exhibition or purchasing some of my work, please do not hesitate to contact me – I look forward to hearing from you soon, and hope to meet you at the exhibition.

I feel incredibly privileged to have been invited to exhibit my work at such a wonderful gallery, so I’d like to say an enormous thank you from the bottom of my heart to Barbara Robertson and everyone else from the gallery who made this possible.

By Jessica Coote

Jessica Coote is a textile and watercolour artist from East Sussex, England, specialising in creative hand embroidery and original works on paper. Her practice is rooted in a deep appreciation for the natural world, with a particular focus on the landscapes of the South Downs and the city of Brighton & Hove. Through hand-stitched textile art and delicate watercolour painting, she explores the quiet beauty and subtle atmosphere of these environments. Each piece draws on the richness of the scene – its colours, textures, patterns, organic forms, and the shifting interplay of light and shadow.
